Richest men of the world. When?
ReplyDeleteOK. Lets assume it is a very recent list. Have men always been self made billionaires? The answer is a clear know.
The Nizam of Hyderabad was an extremely rich fellow. So were some of the pharaohs of Egypt & many more rulers. All inherited wealth.
It is still the trend. Hasn't stopped as you can see in your list.
P.S. Try reading Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. Billionaires are hard working - no doubt, but they had opportunities on their way as well. That is why they are billionaires whereas many other equally hard working people aren't!
